Rule of Life
Rule of Life: expressed in resolutions
Resolved:
To commit daily to rise early in the morning for quiet prayer, listening and reading of the Holy Scriptures
Resolved:
To spend quality time with my wife and kids and to maintain a healthy marriage during my time in ministry.
Resolved:
To manage and steward time in a manner which is glorifying to God, balances family and church life and creates a work life balance.
Resolved:
To preach the Gospel at all times in word and life in the indwelling spirit of GOD. Similarly I will preach unity in the essentials and will seek to not violate the conscious on non-essential issues and will not preach an agenda as a replacement for the Gospel or twist scripture for the sake of a personal agenda or allow my preaching to be co-opted for the sake of a political agenda.
Resolved:
To walk in humility at all times, especially when confronted by sin, when preaching or teaching from the Word of God, when I among my family, church and out in the world.
Resolved:
To work together with the local church to help maintain the unity of the local and global church.
Resolved:
To be a leader who exemplifies the requirements found in scripture, specifically 1st Timothy 3 and Titus 1. Who works together with his congregation for the sake of the spread of the Gospel both at home and around the world.
Resolved:
To hear, see and help those who are less fortunate than I. To help push back against systems that oppress and to work to build bridges of peace, unity and reconciliation within the church.
Resolved:
To be a non-anxious presence in any and all situations
Resolved:
To fight against all temptation to sin through prayer, reading of scripture and the accountability of fellow brothers in Christ.
Resolved:
To do my best to live out these resolutions for the sake of the unity, peace and spread of the Gospel and when I fail at any one of them I resolve to show myself the same grace that God has shown me while accepting the consequences of my sin or failure to keep these resolutions.
